A commercial property in the Perth hills suburb of Bickley had an electric gate installed for security. The driveway under the gate needed to be raised to prevent anyone accessing the property by rolling under the gate. Our company sawcut a patch from the existing bitumen driveway then used roadbase to raise the level up, creating a hump with even fall on both sides. Asphalt (also called bitumen or hotmix) was then laid over the new hump, tying in flush with the existing driveway to create an even new surface.
