Below are before and after photos of an excavation around a soakwell which we were contracted to patch.
The clients had installed a concrete base and sawcut around the newly installed drainage grate.
The area was swept clean of water, tacked with a bitumen emulsion and filled with a
30 - 40mm thick layer of 7mm granite black hotmix/asphalt.
The patch was heavily compacted as can be seen by the compaction marks on the surface.
Once the area was cooled down with water it was sprinkled with sand (to avoid scuff marks) to allow for immediate vehicle use.
