Below are photos of the completed patch work of the worn potholed driveway.
Approximately 25 potholes were swept clean, tacked with a bitumen emulsion and filled with a compacted 7mm granite black hotmix/asphalt.
The worst section of the driveway as seen in the last phots was pre-filled with roadbase, levelled, compacted and waterbound. The two edges were sawcut to allow for the new hotmix surface to tie in flush. The area was then tacked with a bitumen emulsion and resurfaced with a 25mm thick layer of 7mm granite black hotmix/asphalt. The area was then rolled and compacted leaving a level section of new driveway.
