Joondalup - University Campus

Below are photos of of two sections of roadway which had subsided, severely cracked and potholed which were sawcut, excavated and repaired.


Following the edges of the damaged sections of road being sawcut, the existing hotmix/asphalt was removed, the existing roadbase re-levelled and compacted, tacked with a bitumen emulsion and sealed with a 50mm thick layer of 10mm granite black intersection hotmix/asphalt mix.


The area was covered with sand and cooled down to allow for immediate use by constant bus and heavy traffic.
