A large commercial yard required improved access for their heavy duty trucks to enter and exit the property. We widened several of the property crossovers by removing and disposing of excess fill, installing a thick layer of roadbase, then a 40mm layer of black heavy duty asphalt / bitumen / hotmix to seal the areas. New heavy duty semi-mountable concrete kerbing was installed along the edges of each crossover. Yellow sand has been begun to be sprinkled on this completed job to protect it from unsightly tyre scuff marks. The area is able to be driven on immediately and traffic flow was able to be kept open during all works so there was no downtime for the businesses on site.
