The first three photos show a steep driveway and crossover washed out and damaged by water flow.
The following four photos show the completion of the roadbase hardstand surface once the original surface was scraped clean, re-levelled and covered with a layer of roadbase/gravel, compacted and waterbound ready for asphalt sealing.
The four photos below show the completed sealed driveway and crossover.
The dried out hardstand surface was tacked with a bitumen emulsion and a 25mm thick layer of 7mm laterite/gravelpave red hotmix/asphalt with 1 % oxide was laid, levelled and compacted.
No kerbing was added to allow for water to disperse over the sides.
Sand was sprinkled to allow for immediate traffic use and to deter scuff marks whilst fresh. This will disperse naturally with the elements and the colour will oxidise and lighten over the summer months.
